Candice & Ross Studio Maternity Session
Nine years ago, I had the absolute joy of photographing Candice and Ross on their wedding day. It’s always special to watch couples begin their journey together, but it’s even more meaningful when I get to document the next chapters of their lives too. Recently, Candice and Ross came back to the studio for a maternity photography session, and it was such a beautiful full-circle moment.
There’s something truly magical about maternity photography in studio. The calm, cozy environment allows parents-to-be to relax and focus on the excitement of what’s ahead. With soft lighting, simple backdrops, and a comfortable atmosphere, studio maternity sessions create timeless images that highlight the beauty of pregnancy and the connection between partners.
Candice looked absolutely radiant during her maternity session. We kept the styling elegant and classic to really showcase her growing bump and the joy she and Ross share as they prepare to welcome their baby. Ross brought the same warm, supportive energy I remember from their wedding day, making the whole session feel natural, fun, and full of love.
One of the best parts of maternity photography in studio is having complete control over lighting and mood. It allows me to create soft, flattering portraits that focus on emotion and anticipation. We were able to capture a variety of looks during their session—from intimate couple portraits to glowing solo maternity images of Candice.
Looking back at their wedding photos from nine years ago and comparing them to this maternity session is such a reminder of how life grows and changes in the most wonderful ways. From saying “I do” to preparing for their first baby, Candice and Ross are stepping into an exciting new season.
Maternity photography in studio is a perfect way to pause and celebrate this fleeting moment before baby arrives.
I feel incredibly grateful to have photographed their wedding so many years ago and now to capture this beautiful milestone for them. It’s stories like theirs that make my job so meaningful.
